There’s one skill that all successful business people have.
It doesn’t matter what your goal is.
If you can develop this skill, you will achieve it.
It’s not a get-rich-quick scheme.
In fact, it’s easy to understand but difficult to implement (like all worthwhile things).
I didn’t have it and that’s why I wasn’t getting the results I wanted:
It was incredibly frustrating.
I was wasting a lot of time without getting the results I wanted.
It wasn’t until I started buying courses that I realized my mistake:
I did what I thought I needed to do instead of what I actually needed to do.
This is a trap almost everyone falls for and it costs them their success in any area of their lives.
So how do you do what you actually need to do?
By reverse engineering your future the right way.
Most people mess this up so let’s talk about how you do it correctly.
Reverse engineering is the key to getting the outcomes you want.
Look at people who already have what you want and figure out how they got there.
This is how smart people figure out what they need to do to get their ideal future.
They look at who already has what they want and figure out how to replicate their results.
This feels like copying when you first do it, but this isn’t the case.
You simply take a similar route to a similar mountain top.
It will still be different because you’re the one that’s doing it.
Reinventing the wheel takes 10x more time and effort.
It’s much better to do what’s already working in your own unique way.
So let’s talk about how you do this.
1. Pick a goal
This is pretty self-explanatory.
You need to know what you want to achieve.
Without a goal, your daily actions will be random.
So get clear on what you want to achieve.
The more specific your goal the better.
Specific goals make it much easier to reverse engineer.
2. Find a mentor
Find someone who already achieved what you want to achieve.
This shows what you need to emulate.
It can also be a combination of multiple people.
Pick the aspects of these different people that you would like to have.
You don’t need to buy their stuff, but it sure helps.
Books and courses can give you great insights into how they achieved their goals.
3. Identify the skills
MrBeast once said:
“You would have 1 million subs within 3 months if you knew what I know.”
If you can get the same skillset as someone, you can get the same results.
So find out which skills people developed to achieve the goal you want to achieve.
Skills lead to outcomes so by learning these skills you’ll eventually get the same outcomes.
You can't control outcomes, but you can control the things that lead to outcomes.
4. Identify the habits
Skills are the what.
Habits are the how.
Skills lead to outcomes.
Habits lead to skills.
Break down the skills into habits.
Once you develop these habits you’ll develop the right skills after enough iterations.
5. The daily actions
Habits are simply a few actions combined.
So to develop habits, you need to do the right daily actions.
Break it down and make these actions easy, attractive, and doable.
You make it easy by lowering the bar and removing temptations and distractions.
You make it attractive by reframing your options, rewarding yourself, and knowing your why.
You make it doable by breaking it down it something you could do that you actually would do.
So to achieve any goal you must reverse engineer it until you have easy, attractive, and doable daily actions.
This is how you achieve any goal:
Try it out for the next goal you want to achieve.
I’m sure it’ll make it much more likely you’ll achieve it.
All you need is this plan, consistent action, and patience.
Simple, not easy. But certainly doable.
And if you want more help with this, check out my Habit Mastery course.
It explains everything you need to know to build and break habits.
Best of luck, you got this!
